The Earth & Society blog, hosted by Dickinson College, publishes short essays, commentaries and creative works that examine and illuminate relationships of humans in and with the natural world. Our mission is to create community through dialogue, scholarship, reflection, creativity, advocacy and life-long learning around shared interests in creating a sustainable society that is free, socially just, economically resilient and ecologically healthy.
Dickinson is a small liberal arts college located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, USA that has a global presence through its own and partner programs for semester- and year-long off-campus study that are educating our students in 24 countries and 9 states.
