Members and friends of the Dickinson College community are welcome and invited to submit short essays, commentaries and creative works for publication in Earth & Society. To submit an article for publication on the blog, send it for review as a Word document via email to learyn@dickinson.edu.
You own the copyright to your submitted content and you may republish it anywhere else you wish. By submitting content for publication in Earth & Society you are representing that the work is your own and that you have relevant and appropriate permissions to publish content to which others may own copyrights.
Guidance for publishing with us:
- Your post should be relevant to the purposes of the blog: to create community through dialogue, scholarship, reflection, creativity, advocacy and life-long learning around shared interests in creating a sustainable society that is free, socially just, economically robust and ecologically healthy.
- Your post should be written in near-flawless English.
- No fake news, false statements or significant errors of fact. We reserve the right to remove an article from the site after publication should we learn that it contains falsehoods or significant errors.
- No ad hominem attacks, disrespectful language or crude language.
- No commercial posts or fundraising pleas.
- The ideal post length is between 500 and 1000 words.
- We love images! Please use images to communicate visually your central points. Images you submit must be covered by a Creative Commons license or you must have express permission from the proprietor to republish the image.
- A one-time contribution is great, but long-term collaboration would be even better! We welcome regular contributors.
